Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics Policy 2017-2022
AVGC Policy 2.0
Karnataka was the first Indian state to announce an AVGC policy in 2012. The policy was initiated to promote the state as a lucrative outsourcing destination and attract venture capital funding in the AVGC sector. This in turn aimed to provide employment to educated youth and bridge the gap in the demand and supply of skilled resources.
Bengaluru is the fourth largest technology cluster in the world after Silicon Valley, Boston and London.
10,000+ Students are trained annually in Karnataka in AVGC industry.
Digital art centres, upcoming Centre of Excellence and AVGC finishing school will highly contribute to the Infrastructure in the state.
Registered KAVGC companies can apply for the subsidies/incentives/grants available under the KAVGC policy.
